The township's offices (Alcaldia de Mahahual) are located at the 54 km mark on the highway leading out of town known as the stretch between Mahahual and Cafetal.  The is where the town's mayor is located.  The mayor, William Calderon Sanchez took office on July 17, 2008 and his term will end in 2011.  The following are some of the transactions that you may take care of  at these offices: letters of residency, business operating licenses, hourly operating fees and extra hours fees, property taxes, trash collection fees, federal zone consession fees, and use of federal zone fees.
